"Psychedelic"
A remake/mashup of a classic. A testament to the power of the hardstyle golden era melodies from 2006 to 2012.

I originally wanted to test out my new kicks by remaking the mid-intro and climax of one of my favourite golden era tracks, Headhunterz's "Psychedelic".

Ultimately I decided to mash both my remake and the original version together to create a more emotional version of the original climax (I did this through the layering of an additional partial chord melody underneath the existing climax melody),
as well as to showcase my kickdrum sound design alongside Headhunterz's kicks heard in the song (I was heavily inspired by the warm and crunchy '09/'10 era Noisecontrollers/Michel Pollen kickdrum sound).

Most importantly, this remake/mashup is a dedication to a small number of special people in my life. I thank you for sticking around; for your continuous, unwavering support through the highs and lows; and for the wonderful memories we created together and for those to come. My fighting spirit rages on with the intensity of 1,000 suns thanks to you all 🧡
